Run, Mourner Run

In this story the main character dean struggled with himself. He didn’t want to do what Percy wanted him to do at first but then later on he goes along with it. In which the swing represents this. It’s a back and fourth/push or pull kind of situation. Dean thought hard about if what he was told to do was really something he was interested in. When he was told the job that Percy wanted him to do, he asks himself if this will really benefit him in the long run. This changes when money and a promotion from his job was added. He thinks about how the money and job promotion offered could benefit him and his mother overall. He then goes along with Percy’s plan from there. As the story continues he continues to question himself. This is why I believe its a person versus self conflict.
