The focal point in the image is the girl in the center. The artist draws our eyes here by placing her in the center. He wants us to focus one her and the things surrounding her throughout this image. The girl is staring at a gramophone. This gramophone stands out because of its color. The birds are circling around, possibly going in and out the of the exits. You also see the shadow of the girl which does not match her actual posture. I feel like this was another thing that the artist wanted us to pay attention. I feel like this was done to show that the girl was stuck but wanted to move or fly away with the owls. The artists has added neutral, cool and warm colors throughout. You are immediately drawn towards the warm colored things because they stand out the most. The image of the train makes you think of departure, the owls symbolize wisdom and the music symbolized the sounds that the girl was trying to hear or find.
